Project context
Redevelopment focused on modernizing an active contractor yard, adding new buildings and hard-surfaced areas while maintaining ongoing operations and fitting within the surrounding employment area.
EMC designed municipal servicing to reliably support office, operations, and storage functions on the site, confirming that the development can be accommodated within the existing municipal network.
How EMC contributed
A stormwater management strategy was developed to control runoff from new paved and operational areas, provide on-site quantity and quality controls, and meet wet weather flow and monitoring requirements set by the City.
The design includes on-site measures to capture and treat runoff from heavily used yard areas, reducing sediment and contaminants before discharge to the municipal system.
Servicing & stormwater approach
During construction, EMC specified erosion and sediment controls, including perimeter protection, stabilized access, and catchbasin measures, to minimize off-site impacts until the site is fully stabilized.
